So you hate your soul-sucking undertaking( or career ). Congratulations, you’re amongst the 70% of Americans who feel the same style about the style they make their money.

Maybe it’s the day-to-day grind that really get you down. You have things to do, but they the hell out of you. Maybe you work for a real d-bag who constantly chides you or worsehits on you. While flattering at times, it’s borderline creepy and definitely NSFW. Perhaps your co-workers are complete nimrods who can’t hold a conversation or who are so hypocritical it induces your head spin.

Whatever the example may be, going to work is a chore for you. five minutes at your job feels like an eternity in hell. We’ve all been there at some point, unless you’re a Kardashian.

Unfortunately in the world that we live in, you need a job to get by. Unlike the people who claim to “get paid to post on Instagram, ” a typical 9-5 is what keeps food on the table and alcohol in your system.

Fortunately, there are some coping mechanism that can help you continue to earn a paycheck until you miraculously become famous on the internet one day( selling an e-book or making a sex videotape, your selection ).

1. Tolerance is key.

You might want to fight your co-worker in the parking lot, but you can’t do that because it will either get you fired or provide you with a criminal record, which could prevent you from doing A LOT of things. Find ways to channel your misery, like taking a kickboxing or yoga class after work, adopting a kitten, drinking in excessok, maybe not that last one. Use this as a style to funnel your ache into a better route of living. And remember that no matter where you work, you’re always going to have to tolerate the moronic propensities of people you can’t stand.

2. Figure out your problem.

What precisely do you detest about your job? If it’s you boss or co-worker, what specifically do you hate about him/ her? Considering all of the materials of what constructs you miserable will assist you avoid such problems in the future( like when you’re go looking for a new job ). Understanding exactly what it is that bothers you can also better equip you to recognize it and then ignore it and like, become a better person or whatever.

3. Share( or over-share ).

Whether you talk to yourself after a bottle of wine( which we’re not suggesting, but if the shoe fits ), find a therapist, or have a FaceTime session with your best friend, it’s important that you talk to someone. Maintaining things bottled up on the inside is what gives people cancer.

4. Find a better job.

If your dream undertaking is to be a novelist, start freelancing your ass off. If you want to be a tattoo artist, start running shop to shop and wondering about apprenticeships. It’s impossible to find your dream job by sitting on your ass. You need to taking actions to get at where you want to be, so quit crying and start moving.

One day, it will get betterif you take the steps to make it happen.
